New to Artclectic
For Amy Harms, music is the inspiration for her work. In her weave series, Amy's process is to create paintings, then hand-cut, rearrange and hand-weave them into a single piece. In certain projects Amy includes vinyl LP covers she paints and cuts, weaving it into the piece.
“The reason I cut my paintings, the individual slivers of reality, the rearranging – this process is what makes me whole. It’s like life to me,” says Amy. “Taking the past, dissecting it, making the end vision more evolved."
"Gold Dust Woman," it's based off a Fleetwood Mac song and I love both the song and that the artwork fits perfectly with the title.
Treating myself to a nice bottle of wine every now and then :)
Cassandria Blackmore. She paints these soft, abstract works onto glass and then her final process is at the end she shatters the glass.
