New to Artclectic
“My inspiration to create is a way to survive and to evolve,” says Carrie Nenstiel. “As an artist, my work is a constant reflection of my life and my surroundings.”
She works in oil and watercolor. “Recently, my work has revolved around using oil on primed vintage fabric. My loss of my mother this year spurred a shift within my work, prompting my evolution into dark and moody florals.
"The new series was an exploration into the passing of time. Falling petals. Changing seasons. New growth in the midst of adjustment. Strength from pain. Beauty in the dark and in the light.”
"Adamant" was one of my favorite titles. Sometimes life calls for you to be adamant. Adamant about my profession, adamant about my boundaries, adamant about my taste... just adamant!
The late Helen Frankenthaler. I am obsessed with her large scale work and have personally reflected her work with soak stain method in my previous works.
