“I love creating found objects out of porcelain and stoneware clay, composing them to form a narrative,” she continues. “I love the reactions of my visitors who can’t believe my pieces are all clay. I really want to fool their eye.”

If you had to switch mediums, what kind of artist would you be?
I would paint designs on fine china for the Herend Company in Budapest.
Titles of works can be descriptive or clever or totally unrelated. What's your favorite title of a piece you've named? Why?
“A Good Day From Our Special Hens”, a wire basket filled with blue, green, and brown and white farm fresh eggs with a golden egg on the top! Porcelain and stoneware clay with gold leaf life size!
Who is your favorite artist (other than yourself)? Why?
Sylvia Hyman. She is a legendary Nashville clay artist who has explored and created all manners of clay…functional ware, elaborate beaded necklaces, sculpture, and trompe l’oeil to name a few.
