New to Artclectic
Fred Cox studied with French artists Pascal Amblard and Michel Nadai. He is a participant in Salon- a gathering of artists from around the world who meet each year in a host city to paint and discuss their craft. Fred has participated in Salons in Norway, France and Italy.
His work is serene, calming and impressionistic. Fred is inspired by “nature and beautiful locations around the world.”
A working artist for 34 years, he uses acrylic, oil, resin, gilding and old world techniques to achieve a modern look. Fred’s pieces include custom framing and gilding made for each painting in his studio .
Collecting famous artists' letters and autographs, as well as vintage art materials.
I don't typically name a piece unless it has a special meaning, I'm not into coming up with a clever title to make it sound "artsy." I just want to paint something that is pleasing to me and to others. Most of my paintings are combinations of places I have seen or various aspects of a scene that I simply make up.
I have several - Turner, Vermeer, Tiepolo, Monet, Pissarro.
