New to Artclectic
Nature and vintage frames inspire new artist Jennifer Bezaire to create. “I paint acrylic landscapes mainly on handmade cotton rag paper in various sizes and occasionally on birch panels," she says. "I also frequently paint pieces specifically for a vintage frame -- typically Italian gilded wood.”
Her pieces have been described as idyllic, serene and pastoral. "I paint pieces that I would enjoy in my home."
She’s self-taught although, “I’ve always enjoyed creating things. I painted some growing up including painting oil landscapes in high school.”
Naming pieces doesn’t come easily to me at all so I loved titling one “Vivrette” as a nod to the park (Marcella Vivrette Smith Park in Brentwood) that inspired the painting!
Van Gogh simply because he was my favorite as a child and I started to paint because I loved his work so much (I even painted sunflowers on everything when I was 10 or 11!).
