Extensive travel around the world has allowed Krista Sheldon to collect ancient coins and antiquities and transform them into modern day designs.
“I am a PMC (Precious Metal Clay) certified artisan,” Krista notes. “Using traditional metal-smithing techniques and precious metal clay, I hand-cast medallions from early Colonial American and European coins. After casting in fine silver and gold, the pieces are tumbled and hand burnished. Hand selected bezelled and wired precious and semi-precious stones are also used in each finished piece.”
Krista’s classic, stylish pieces can be found in exclusive collections designed for the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., the Getty Villa and Gardens in Los Angeles, the Legion of Honor in San Francisco and the New York Historical Society.
