Lisa Reed-Preston is a visual disruptor using abstraction and technology to create immersive and interactive experiences. “Creating the acrylic mixed media painting is only the first step in the process,” she says. “Once the textures, colors and balance are right, then the work of creating the complimentary augmented reality experience begins. Using Adobe After Effects, I create the augmentations that bring the artwork to life.”
Known professionally as MATM Creative, Lisa creates the artwork while her husband, Josh Preston, creates the music. Their originals and prints include an augmented reality experience. They describe their work as disruptive, engaging, and immersive.

If you had to switch mediums, what kind of artist would you be?
Being a light artist would be extremely interesting, someone who manipulates how things are seen, and can create a sense of urgency or calm by changing a hue or saturation.
What is your greatest extravagance?
Creative tools! From paint and canvas to digital software, we want to try everything!
Titles of works can be descriptive or clever or totally unrelated. What's your favorite title of a piece you've named? Why?
"Symbiopolis" is a strong title. It came from the idea of a city in harmony.
