Me:) because I want to tell my story.
The pyramids of Egypt really inspired me as a photographer. I had the opportunity to visit them while performing at a jazz festival in Israel. Their incredible size, ancient history, and amazing design sparked my creativity and imagination. The way light and shadows played on their huge stones and the vast desert around them made me feel awe. The pyramids pushed me to find and capture the beauty and mystery in the world around me.
"Regeneration"
During the recent pandemic, we as Black people showcased our remarkable capacity for regeneration. Despite facing disproportionate impacts from COVID-19, we regenerated our strength through solidarity and support within our communities. Our contributions to frontline work, mutual aid efforts, and advocacy for health equity highlighted our enduring spirit and commitment to justice and equality.
