Sarah Kaufman is inspired by making interesting mixtures of images and playing. And deadlines.
“I combine abstract and realistic painting to make art that captures many dimensions and aspects of a place, time and concept,” she says. “I use oil paint to draw, paint, splash, drip, scratch, and wipe on canvas. I create a full range of mark making by using brushes, oil crayon, paper towels, sticks, rollers, charcoal, tape and fingers.”

I think I would be happy to have some of Damien Hurst's money, but of course I am the artist I want to be.
Argentina. They use images and poetry and food to create their own impossible world, a stubborn slice of their own version of Europe on the tip of South America. And China, because I lived there for a year and it was the most surreal place I've ever been.
