“Movement and excitement inspire my art,” says Elliott Schuessler. “My goal with canvas is to bring excitement to the home, in a modern and tasteful way using various methods to create texture on canvas. Texture should be visible and leap off the canvas. I love both subtle and vibrant color patterns created by acrylic, ink, oil and spray paint.”
Rejecting brushes for scrapers, Elliott reveals deep textures in his multi-layered abstracts. “I paint in layers. Life is layer and that is what molds us. There is always a story behind the top layer.”
Just be yourself. I didn't know I wanted to be an artist until life directed me toward this path. Keep experimenting and be creative.
When it stops someone in their tracks.
"It frets against the boundary shore" -- I name all of my paintings using poetry and music. This specific title relates to me because I love the ocean and the sea is always thirsty; it is never satisfied and always wants more.
