“I've been an artist my whole life and after raising my kids it was time to put my work out in the world,” says Ginny Worsley. “My work is whimsical and nostalgic and depicts my love of ordinary moments, interiors, pattern, color and storytelling. I moved a lot over my life and have always had a love of home and interior spaces. I'm a homebody and find so much comfort from familiar objects, family heirlooms and pieces collected over time. These spaces are the backdrop to our ordinary, everyday life and our own personal stories.
“I like to create spaces that are full of coziness and pattern that remind you of the simple joys of life. I want people to feel joy, hope, cheerfulness, and comfort when they see my art.”
Create every day, make lots of bad art, and your style will emerge over time.
My grandparents’ home on the lake was such an integral part of my childhood. My grandmother was an artist and my grandfather was an engineer. They purchased a one room cabin with no water or electricity and created a beautiful home surrounded by nature that was filled with original art, antiques, and heirloom pieces. Summers there remain one of my fondest memories.
One of my home library paintings is called "In The Margins". I love titles that are short, clever, and have a pun or alliteration. This one reflects margins of a page in a book and the margins of our lives.
