“I consider myself a perpetual optimist,” says Vicky Reddish. “I am always looking for the glimmer of hope and the beauty in all life throws at us. I believe my work reflects this desire for comfort, for joy, for peace, and for making people feel happy (even if for a moment).”
Vicky’s artistic philosophy is simple yet powerful: make art that makes you happy, and it will bring joy to others as well. Working primarily with acrylic paints and oil pastels, her expressive art celebrates the complexity of emotions and memories. Vicky’s work is a visual dance of color and texture, designed to connect with viewers on a personal level, evoking moments of joy, nostalgia, and lightness.
“For me, art is the legacy I want to leave behind. My hope is that it is one of joy, of hope and wonder.’
Experiment, play, don't be afraid to try everything, and whatever you do, just keep going.
Each place I travel inspires my work, but a standout is Hawaii. The natural beauty, the sunsets, the rainbows, the waves...it set my soul on fire and I believe it truly healed something in me that has opened me up to be so passionate about bringing my art to the world.
"I Lost My Passport in Paris" - This was a true story where I lost my passport in Paris and by some miracle it was found and returned to me within minutes of me needing it catch my next flight. I love the truth in the title but also the idea of being "stuck" in Paris and how delightful that might be.
