“As a former art teacher, I enjoy exploring and experimenting with many types of materials,” says Camilla Spadafino. “I’m always striving to evolve by bringing fresh ideas and materials to my work.
“I believe in the power of experimentation with materials to shape my artistic vision. My upcoming collection for Artclectic will feature cohesive elements, drawing connections through shared shapes and colors. As I create, I allow the materials to guide me, embracing innovation and freshness in my process. While my journey may meander, it always returns to pieces that complement each other seamlessly. Inspired by my previous Artclectic presentation, I look forward to weaving familiar elements into my new works, while also exploring new ideas.”
“Jolene’s Heart”
I love naming colors and my favorite color name is “Jolene’s Heart” which is black.
My home and my garden are my incubators of inspiration where I sort all of my travels and experiences. I can’t name something as the most inspirational place since there are so many.
Most of the cardboard and paper that our materials come in is recycled into our garden. We use layers of cardboard and paper that we cover with mulch to create and maintain our garden beds. The paint that is used in my art is made locally in Kentucky which lessens the footprint of the supply chain.
