“I grew up in a creative home and come from a long line of artists,” says Ginny. “I've always considered myself an artist and creating feels most true to who I am. After years of raising my kids, I decided it was time to pursue painting professionally.
“I'm inspired by the beauty of everyday life; a morning coffee with loved ones, the coziness of a home library, and the charm of heirloom objects. My work reflects a deep-seated nostalgia for simpler times, brought to life through a winsome and illustrative style. I want to capture ordinary moments, memories and rooms in our home that tell a story.”
I would love to have an art gallery show at the Hunter Museum in Chattanooga. My grandmother had an art show there in the 80s and I want to follow in her footsteps.
Paris, France. It was an unforgettable place to take in all the great artists, especially the Impressionist painters and sculptors. I loved experiencing the food, architecture, history, and landmarks that have been there for centuries.
"Sur La Table"- it was a painting of a dining room with fun wallpaper, colorful chairs, large windows and a table with all the ordinary items you might find on your own dining room table: books, eye glasses, coffee cups, grocery lists. The dining room is a multipurpose room that serves as the backdrop to so much of our everyday life.
