Sculpture “When I look at a piece of stone or wood, I always know that something is in there trying to get out!” says Charlie Hunt.
A working stone/wood carver for 30 years, Charlie uses limestone, granite, marble and old-growth hardwood. “My style is primitive and based on nature and can be displayed in the home or garden.”

If you could be any artist in the world, who would you choose to be?
Shona Tribe of sculptors in Zimbabwe, Africa. Their work intrigues me.
In terms of your art, where is the most inspirational place you've ever been?
Germany. Being first and foremost a memorial artist, their technique and craft is amazing to me.
Titles of works can be descriptive or clever or totally unrelated. What's your favorite title of a piece you've named?
I actually do not name my pieces...I like for people to be able to see what they want to see in them and not be influenced by me.
