Jason Brueck spent 12 years practicing law before becoming a full time artist 10 years ago. He creates surrealistic scenes using patterns, shapes and other imagery to grab the viewer’s attention. “These are a combination of personal and found images.”
Using his computer, a large format printer and on occasion, mixed media materials like gold leaf, diamond dust, graffiti and marker pens, Jason is inspired by “creating something that hasn't been done before and (hopefully) presenting the viewer with artwork that lends itself to thought and multiple interpretations."
My brother used to work at the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills and used to serve celebrities fairly regularly. One night he delivered room service to Charlie Watts and Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones. Keith was staying under the pseudonym of Inspector Clouseau. He went so far as to sign the room service tab Clouseau. That ended up being my Christmas gift later that year and I've treasured it ever since. It is exactly what you would expect from a rock star like Keith.
"Liquid Courage"
Because it serves as a brief narrative to my personal favorite piece, which examines courage and all the different ways it can be found and applied.
