New to Artclectic

“While I always showed affection for creating as a child, my deep passion for painting stemmed from a place of processing grief,” explains Jennifer. “The loss of my father triggered a need for an emotional outlet. Painting became my peace and my place to feel everything. Fast forward twelve years, and I am still painting my way through life, through joy and sorrow!"

Most of Jennifer’s paintings are a combination of acrylic, oil pastel, and watercolor on canvas or paper layered intricately and intentionally.

“Color, the outside world, and flowers mainly serve as my inspiration. My hope is for you to connect with yourself and the natural world in a new way when you look at my work.”

Get to know Jennifer better:
In terms of your art, where is the most inspirational place you’ve ever been?

I am inspired any time I take a walk right outside my door. The way a tree sways in the wind, the subtle movement of a long-stemmed flower, the colors of the wildflowers and weeds popping up on the side of the road. If I had to choose one place that has inspired me, it would be the last trip I took to the mountains in Utah in the summer. Flowers growing naturally everywhere!

Describe your dream art project.

I dream of painting interiors - in-home wildflower and botanical murals. I would also love to design wallpapers and textiles one day!

Titles of works can be descriptive or clever or totally unrelated. What’s your favorite title of a piece you’ve named?

"Dancing Grass" has to be my favorite. It gives so much life to the subject, and connects me to two things that bring me the most life - being outside and moving my body!
