Jim Sherraden has been a printmaker since 1981, best known for managing Hatch Show Print for more than thirty years. He has transitioned successfully into carving and printing his own woodcuts, and, in many cases, mixing and matching those carved pieces into intricate pattern design.
Hatch Show Print “has fortified me with the groundwork on which I create the art today,” says Jim. “These days I carve either wood or linoleum blocks, print them, and then cut that printed paper into quilt or tile-like patterns, either traditional or those of my own design.”
