Martha Case Nemer’s work is contemporary whimsey with a dramatic, yet intimate composition. It reflects her deep passion for color in every brushstroke. “I am grateful for the gift of painting and the joy it brings into my life.”
She takes pride in learning her own technique with passion, motivation and hard work…and in her words, “creating lots of beautiful messes along the way.” Martha creates each unique piece with many mediums such as acrylic, oil, charcoal, oil pastels, ink and whatever she might find interesting in the moment.
My current artist crush and inspiration is Frank Arnold...who is, in my opinion, one of the greatest abstract figurative artists of our time. His large beautiful oils and fabulous Los Cabos Studio are truly amazing.
The Gift of Life! I survived a SCAD heart attack this past year. (Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection). I am so grateful for a successful recovery and thankful for every beautiful day that I get to wake up, paint and spend time with my loved ones!
I love titling my work. I have lots of favorites, but "Who's Gonna Tell Mama?" is one that first comes to mind. It's a large (60x36) canvas filled with colorful and interesting abstract figures. It just seemed to fit perfectly.
