New to Artclectic
“Travel and exploration play a significant role in my creative process,” says Vicky. “I draw inspiration from meeting new people, experiencing different cultures, and immersing myself in unfamiliar places. I also process emotions and try to evoke happiness with my work. The greatest pull is my desire to create beauty and make people smile.”
Working primarily with acrylic paints, oil sticks, pencils, and oil pastels, Vicky’s expressive art celebrates the complexity of emotions and memories. Her work is a visual dance of color and texture.
“I fell in love with art in high school in 9th grade and would create every now and then for years. In 2019, I created a space in my home to paint and I fell in love not just with creating art but running the business as well.”
Joy. I want my art to make people happy - if only for a moment. Life is so heavy and I want to lighten the load when people look at it.
I feel like in many ways I am living my dream daily getting to create art and share it with the world. Someday I would love the opportunity to create a collection in collaboration with a large fashion brand and show work in New York.
Probably "Breakfast with Lorene". She was my grandmother and one of my favorite rituals as a kid was going to her house for breakfast on weekends where she made a huge spread that filled her entire small table and we sat and enjoyed each other’s company for hours. When I painted that piece it reminded me of the way I felt in her dining room so it was a loved piece for sure.
