What are the primary materials you use to create your art?
Canvas and wood and acrylic colors. Initially, I painted on rocks, scraps of paper and discarded wood found at Kakuma, a refugee camp in Kenya. I paint from memories of life in Africa and my experiences of life in the United States. I paint scenes of war and terror from my past. It is important to remind people of the harsh realities and suffering that exists in the world.
