Each work and title has a specific connection to a story. The inspiration behind the work and the titles are as important as the work itself. I love knowing that my works find the people who instantly connect with them and hopefully, in that piece they will feel the joy that created it. I have been told they do and that makes me extremely happy. Encaustic is a wonderfully versatile medium to create multiple layers of texture, transparency and color. The process of building up and scraping away the wax allows me to move forward and backward, like a dance, creating a range of visual depth and interest.
