I aim to make each print lie just on the cusp of disorienting. I don’t want to fill every corner with so much information that viewers lose what’s happening, but I want there to be enough going on that it’s not easy to take it all in with a single glance. Forcing viewers to move a little bit closer allows them to notice small details they wouldn’t have before, and delight in each mark, squiggle, line, and curve as much as I do.
