“I’m a musician and in 2020 when Covid happened and we couldn’t tour I started drawing again for my own sanity,” says Jacob, now a working artist of four years. “I never knew it would be an open door to a new career.”
Inspired by musicians, contemporary lines and color, along with fashion and form, Jacob creates whimsical portrayals of iconic musicians. He primarily uses pen and India ink, watercolor and acrylic, on watercolor paper that’s been mounted to birch board.
“I want my art to spark conversations and bring whimsy and joy to the room.”
One of my dreams/goals is to have an art opening in NYC, Miami, or Los Angeles.
I got to go to the Louvre years ago and it was inspiring to see that much art in one place and the history of all the greats.
My seven year old daughter named a Taylor Swift piece that I did of Taylor as a cat. It’s called Meowy Swift.
