The imagery in Kent Ambler’s work is inspired by his surroundings in nature and the animals he sees in his everyday life. He creates original woodblock prints, hand carving wood planks and hand mixing all the inks. “I print small editions of twenty or thirty on archival paper,” says Kent. “I never reprint new editions of any of my work.”
A working artist for 30 years, Kent recycles his old woodblocks by cutting them up and reassembling them into abstract collage pieces.
